Looking for a fun way to build a great relationship with your dog? This 7-week Novice Rally Obedience course helps you learn the ins and outs of this engaging sport while strengthening communication and teamwork with your dog through positive reinforcement. You’ll learn how to read and follow rally signs while teaching your dog the foundation obedience skills to navigate a novice-level course. There are more than 40 novice signs to learn, so be prepared to practice at home each week! This class leads to a Rally 2 class, where you’ll strengthen and polish what you and your dog have learned as you start preparing for competition and more advanced rally levels.

Course Requirements:  To enroll in this class, your dog must have basic obedience skills including sit, down, stay or wait, come, and loose-leash heeling.

Rally Obedience is a mixture of obedience and agility. The team of dog and handler on leash move continuously and perform the exercises indicated by the sign at each location. After the judge's "Forward" command, the team is on their own to complete the entire sequence correctly. Unlimited communication to the dog from handler is encouraged. Higher levels will be off leash and have jumps as well. This class will prepare you and your dog for competition at Rally Obedience trials but you don't have to have competition goals to participate in this class. 

Requirements:  Must have Basic or Sub-Novice Obedience training.
